Artist Portrait Project
In 2020 the pandemic came crashing down, and like everyone else, I was forced to pause. For the first time in years, I had the space to reflect on the importance of connection and community. Slowing down and being able to spend time with friends, even outside and 6 feet apart, was the grain of sand that began this project.
We are so fortunate in New Orleans to have such a vibrant, brilliant group of artists who are connected in many ways to South Louisiana. It is my privilege and pleasure to do this portrait series, gifting each work to the artists who inspire me.
The following images were taken in my studio, immediately after each piece was completed. Details to come on exhibitions of the project.
